Yahoo! Sports was recently updated with an all-new design, following along with updates to other major sections of the site. There has been a lot of vocal feedback - common whenever a popular site has any design changes - but I'm warming up to it. I only have one complaint: the site doesn't work correctly on Nexus 7 tablets. (Read More)

Eight years ago this week my wife and I spent the weekend in Phoenix Arizona for the NASCAR race. We had a great connection through my uncle and were able to get Sprint Cup garage passes. (We also had Nationwide garage passes through Yahoo, but our driver didn't even qualify for the race...) (Read More)

My father-in-law always liked to stay informed by “reading what the other side is thinking”. In order to do that for sports, you have to go local. Here is what the local papers in San Francisco and Texas are saying this morning: Freakin’ amazing! Giants win first World Series in 56 years! (San Francisco Chronicle) Rangers de-clawed, antler-less when it... (Read More)
Watching the Great American Race yesterday, I couldn’t help but notice that Ask.com has tuned into NASCAR in a big way. Sure enough, it turns out that Ask.com has signed a big deal with NASCAR: Ask.com, a leading search engine and an operating business of IAC, announced Wednesday it has entered into partnerships with NASCAR, NASCAR.COM and Hall of Fame... Getting geared up for the Super Bowl this weekend, which also means the usual anticipation, discussion, and review of all the TV advertising contained within. (About 33 minutes’ worth according to the NY Times.) On the NY Times site today I discovered this cool multi-media exploration: The Super Ad Bowl:Two Decades of Players. They have a breakdown of all ads... (Read More)
