NASCAR just released the 2008 schedule for the top “cup” series, now known as the “Sprint Cup”.
Some notable changes from last year include:
- With Coors now the official beer sponsor, the future of the “Bud Shootout” is not clear
- The Chicago race in July will be run on Saturday night (new lights will be installed at the speedway)
- The weekends off will be moved around slightly
Next season will mark the 50th anniversary of the Daytona 500 and we’re going this year!
